Materials

Black, gray, and orange holders are printed in colorFabb nGen black material, which has an elevated temperature resistance of 185 F. Blue is printed in MatterHacker’s PETG, which shares a similarly elevated temperature resistance. This is not printed in standard PLA, which has a transition temperature ranging from 120 F to 140 F and may deform in the hot summer sun.

Notes on 3D printed parts

All pieces have a nice glossy finish. The orange and blue variants are translucent.

Although the 3D printing process is fairly precise, it’s not perfect––environment, material, and processing conditions can cause small variations from piece to piece. As such, each one is unique!
